Overview

Clipmunk is designed to keep your information private. The app does not require an account, does not use a cloud backend for storing your clips, and does not send your saved clips or anything else to a server.

App

The Clipmunk app does not require an account, does not include third-party analytics SDKs, does not use advertising trackers, and does not connect to the internet at all.

Clips you save in Clipmunk are stored locally on your device so the app, its share extension, and its Shortcuts-related features can access the same saved content on that device.

When you use iOS features such as the share sheet, Apple Shortcuts, or open links from within your own saved content, Apple or the respective third-party service may process data independently under their own privacy terms.

Because the app does not connect to the internet, there is no server-side account, sync, analytics, or clip transmission performed by Clipmunk.

Website

The website at clipmunk.app is hosted via Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the website, technical data may be processed to deliver and secure the site, such as your IP address, request details, browser information, and similar connection metadata.

The website does not currently include an account system, a signup form, or its own analytics tooling.

The website currently loads Google Fonts from Google servers. When you load a page, your browser may connect to Google and transmit technical data such as your IP address and browser information.

Website-related processing can therefore involve service providers such as Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, and Google where Google Fonts are loaded from Google servers.

The legal basis for website-related processing is generally Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the legitimate interest in making the website available, keeping it secure, and presenting it correctly.

Feedback Emails

If you send an email to feedback@clipmunk.app, the following information may be processed:

- your email address and name
- the contents of your message
- attachments you send
- technical metadata included in the email header
- any information you voluntarily provide, such as screenshots or diagnostics

This information is used only to read, understand, and respond to your feedback, and to keep context for possible follow-up messages. The legal basis is generally Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if your message relates to a request initiated by you, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in handling user feedback and improving the product.

Depending on how email is handled technically, feedback emails may also be processed by the email provider used to receive and store messages sent to feedback@clipmunk.app.

Storage Period

App data is stored locally on your device until you delete it. Website-related technical data is not intentionally stored beyond what is necessary through the hosting setup. Feedback emails may be retained as long as needed to handle the correspondence, keep support context, and comply with legal obligations.

Your Rights

Under applicable privacy law, including the GDPR where relevant, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
